i dont know where else to put this but i have a question about my hdtv.

i got a new one for Xmas, and theres 2 places to hook my 360 into it. theres component 1, and component2.

Component 1 has 5 slots - red, yellow, white, red and white.
Component 2 has 5 slots - green, blue, red, red and white.

i have my cable hooked into component 2 and my 360 into component 1, but the cable man guy says component 2 is HD, and component 1 isnt.
so he switch my 360 into comp2. but when i play my 360 on comp2 it doesnt show up right on my screen.

can anyone help meee? plz

Try going to the menu on your hdtv and try switching it to HD. But he's right about Component 1 not being HD. The colors of HD are green, blue, and red. The other red and white are just the audio. But it you want the best sound out of the 360, use a digital optical cable into a stereo with Dolby Digital.

there isnt an option in the menu to switch it to HD.

but there is a button i press to change it from component 1 to component 2, if thats what you mean?
