If my subject heading was hard to understand, I don't blame you lol. But what I'm trying to get at, is, Microsoft recreating games for the xbox 360 that did well for PS2. "Saint's Row" seems like the top candidate for this discussion. To me it just seems like a GTA ripoff. And I'm sure that the developers have been given that criticism over a thousand times... So do you guys think that it is a bad move or a good move for microsoft? Because they must realize that they are trying to recreate an amazing game. It's similar to recreating Halo for PS3. It won't happen and if it did it would be laughed at. And pardon my ignorance, but if I'm saying Microsoft and they have nothing to do with it then correct me, it could be the developer that takes on the most heat. So what do you guys think?
I think it could be a god or bad move. It depends how the games turn out.
I rekon it will be a good game. Just that the playstation has had several GTA games. If the PS3's latest GTA is a sequel and not a new story (e.g Carl johnson) I think it will be awesome. The only thing I dont like is the saints row hasnt got no history, no previous games, its a new storyline. I would rather purchase a sequel to GTA with tommy vercetti or carl johnson any day. Wave that check book M$, we want GTA!
lol thats a nice way to put it, but since ive got xbox live i didnt play GTA although i do like them and have GTA3 Vice City and San Andreas !

i think your silly saying that ms ripped of or the game developers ripped off gta the game is completely different.
just because the game has black people toting uzis or 45s doesnt mean its going to be the same as gta where its all about taking a gun a wondering around the city cos your so board of the game maybe the game will always be fun not like the gay gta where you get boared first ten minutes plus the guy who started this topic is a gay noob

I wouldn't say it is a rip off.....the Xbox had GTA games as well. If you want to call Saint's Row a rip off then you would have to say that about most games.....basically every FPS....every Racing game, etc....all have the same basic premise and abilities going into them......Burnout could be classified as a ripoff of Destruction Derby,...etc....etc.......So yes each platform will have games with similar concepts of what a player can or can't do, but it doesn't make them rip offs.....this is how the genres evolve....each developer trying to one up their competitor... one game will let you steal a car, the other will let you steal a car and then pick up your friends and go for a joy ride....... So no Saint's Row isn't a rip off, it is competition....every series has to start somewhere, and Saint's Row has chosen the 360 to start it's series on.
