Ok please don't flame me. But I just bought my 360 yesterday (after waiting 15 hours in line for second launch lol)... And so far I'm really not impressed with the graphics... It just seems like things are more shiny and that's about it. I have PDZ and it just seems like the game runs very slow, not laggy, but like it was programmed to be slow... I don't know but I'm not impressed so far. What do you guys think? Should the upcoming games be better or is this it? I heard that supposedly these launch games only scratch the surface of what it can do, I hope those are true. Let me know of your impressions. Thanks!
Now that I got my hands on it at a friends house for several weeks now. I say no. I'm going to get a PS3 or a Nintendo revolution instead.
DIDDO! Go revolution!

Well i'm sure that the graphics will get better remember the first few games with came out on the xbox1 like halo1 and max pain and then think of the newer games like halo2 doom3 or need or speed most wanted there's quite a difference between them!!!!!!!!!!
I'm fine with my psp, ps2, and 360 right now. When the ps3 comes out, i'll get that to.
Well after doing a little more research I have seen some of the gameplay from upcoming games. And I feel it is safe to say that the first launch games are not pushing the 360 to its capacity. I was informed that these first launch games were made off of microsoft first development kit (which has since been redevolped with a final kit). And games like "Gears of War" were made off fo the final development kit. If you watch video from gears of war then you will understand what the difference is. So I'm sold. But now I have another criticism... I was told that HD was going to look "So much better" than the non HDTV enabled TV's... I found this to be pretty much BS... I have played the same game on both and I really do not see a huge difference. Well at least not a big enough differene to make me spend upwards of $700 for a tv. What do you guys think? Can anyone else claim they see a drastic difference?

Well, after playing NFS:MW on both reg and HD, i see a much clearer difference. Certain games look clearerin HD and some just look wider.

I agree. The launch games are only scratching the surface of what the 360 can really do (Although they still look amazing now). I cant wait until Gears of war is out. Arent they using all three CPU cores of the 360 in it? I thought the games out rite now are only using one core therefore not looking their best of the machines capability. I agree, I played PDZ for 10min on my 32" box tv and I was surprised how good it looked. I dont really think the whole "HD" thing is such a big thing as they are trying to make it out to be. I'm just wondering is Gears of war pushing the 360 to its limits already, or does 360 have alot more to offer under its hood over the following years. Having a game out which shows what the 360 can do at its max only a couple of months after launch would be pretty dissapointing.

you havnt seen HD on a 360 so you dont know.
On Wednesday i played PGR3 and PDZ in HD and the picture was beautiful in my opinion 4x better picture than using normal Av inputs, the picture was so good it looked wet if you know what i mean.
360fan you will see the difference when you come round my house Very Happy

looked wet?????????????????????

First off, if you do not have LIVE, then you are certainly not getting the most out of your 360. After I beat the game, say like in Halo 2 I know i will still be playing this game for ages because I have live. For the xbox, unless the game was a rpg that I would be able to play for hours upon hours, I would not buy a game unless it had Live abilities. Lastly, like someone else said, the grapics will improve. Go play halo 1, thne play halo 2. Which graphics are greatly better? Of course Halo 2. Also, if you do not have an HD tv, then you are missing out.

Sure it will be better but not good enough for myself to buy a HD set up.
I'v looked at HD vids on the net and apart from sharpness of the picture, I cant really tell any differences from the vids and my normal TV. Dont care anyway since we are getting a 52" HDTV next year for when sky release their HD TV service. But for anyone purchasing a HDTV just for 360, you may be wasting alot of cash. Try it on your normal TV, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Sure HD will look better, but wouldnt you rather spend all that money on games?

Well I have played both PDZ and NFSMW on regular and HD and I honestly dont see a huge difference lol. I don't know if I need better than my 20/20 vision but the huge difference is not there. I mean of course it looks more crisp and sharp but nothing amazing.... Yeah if these games are barely pushing it then I cant wait for the 2nd, 3rd, nth wave of games to show up. And yeah 360fan, that would blow if the best game came out ina few months, I would like to believe that a major graphics pushing game would come out aroung the time of the PS3. Well actually I would love to see that now but it might be too much for us to handle lol. So in conclusion I would have to agree with 360fan, if you don't got HD then don't hurry to buy a set with HD, because as long as you have a nice regular TV then you will be just fine and the graphics are still nice!

Very Happyjust wait for halo 3 i think it will push the bar
I'm very impressed with my 360, the graphics have more detail to them (eg. Textures) but yes, these launch titles are only 'Scratch The Surface' titles. Other titles like Dead Or Alive 4, Gears Of War and Resident Evil 5 will unleash much more of the consoles power.
