If anyone is profitting off Microsoft's xbox 360 that would be ATi.
That artical is from a third party microsoft would be happy to admit they were taking a loss it would boost sales if people new what they were buying was worth more than what they pay. I think it's a load of S***. The never said weather it was material, wholesale, or retail value. Also if these people were so well informed then the would have mentiond that microsoft isn't getting 400 for each premium system they only get 320.
In short this artical is BS but your welcome to believe it. It's nice to think that a multi billion dollar corperation would spend billions so that the could loose more... Yeah.
I agree with nick_e they must be making a profit just making people believe they arnt.

I loved this from the first time I heard about it.
Firstly because that meens they are only going to refine not redifine the game. Halo 2 is so good they can't add to much without risking ruining the experience.
Secondly because I hope that eventually Microsoft will eventually take over the gameing indastry. Just imagine Halo, Grand Theft Auto, Metal Gear Solid, and Final Fantasy all on the same console
