Being 17, I don't have a ton of control over the fact that my family can't afford to throw down enough cash for an HDTV at the moment. After working and saving up to buy a 360, it makes me depressed when I read time and time again that an HD display is a must for a 360. I was figuring I might be able to save up for an HD monitor, but when I went online to compare prices I got very confused. I just can't tell which ones are HD monitors and which aren't, it never seems clearly listed. Could someone familiar with the technology maybe point me in the right direction to the absolute cheapest HD monitor. Are there any in the 300 dollar region, or am I just dreaming?
Are most/all LCD monitors HD ready?
Mostly the newly released one's are, but the first generations may or may not be.
i am in the market for a new screen also. I will either be getting myself a nice lcd monitor for my computer and then getting the vga adaptor, or getting myself a new tv. I am on a pretty small budget to and i was looking at something like this
Mag 27 ($350) or this
samsung 27 ($400). They are not as small or light as an lcd, but games will look alot better on this than a 25 ms lcd, although you will be giving up the wide screen ratio.
and lcd monitors are hard to find hd ready, you have to look for an lcd tv which are a little bit more pricey.

That's what I recently bought at newegg and I must say the price is right and it's an awesome product.

EDIT: Ignore the xbox360 items. I used this pic to sell them on another forum.
wow dude that does look nice, i will definitely consider it, especially with the 8ms Response Time. Games must look great on it.

How much does that average "good" quality HDTV go for these days. Also it must be a widescreen.

Yes, widescreen is the best. 16:9 AR 4:3 AR cuts off the sides and you can't view things the way they should be. Unlike with widescreen. You see everything without objects being chopped.
