After successfully trialling a new blog based news system I'm looking for staff to report and write news for a multi-format news website launching soon.

At the moment, I currently run http://www.beatsuite.com an advanced music library for the media and production industry producing and providing music for film, TV and media projects.

I'll soon be launching a blog-based news orientated website designed to provide up to the minute news from the gaming industry.

Staff writers will be required to source and report news on a daily basis. Applicants can be located worldwide and mainly looking for writers from the UK and American timezones to cover both areas.

Writers can also write features and editorials.

Brief job outline:
Gather and report on news within the gaming industry providing images and sources

All news is reviewed before it will be published

All positions are initially unpaid as you are working in your own time at your own pace. Paid positions will become available however, the perk of this job is for writers and enthusiasts to get their foot in the door of the gaming journalism sector and have their work published.

Writers can report on specific formats, i.e. Xbox 360, PS3 etc.

Various positions will be available i.e. news reporter, news editor, features etc

Much more details available upon application.

Requirements:
Applicants must be aged 16 or over. 18yrs and above are preferential but talented, enthusiastic and skilled 16/17 yr olds will be considered.

Existing knowledge of the videogame industry

None-bias towards format

Must be able to write during the day and/or evening.

Satisfactory standard of English and writing ability, no slang or short-hand writing.

So if you feel like you have the creative enthusiasm to be part of a fresh new team of independent journalists, send a covering email and CV to dailygamesnews@googlemail.com
