I reakon this might have been asked before but couldn't see it in previous threds so here i go.

I just got 3 red lights where the ON controlers green light should be. This is so called the Ring Of Death or something and is there anyway i can fix this roblem myself or do i have to go and get a new Xbox360,
And do i lose everything like GamerScore, gamer Profile, And MicroSoft Points??
And might i get some insentive for this or something?
Or can i keep my HDD and get a new Xbox without this?

Please answer SOON as i getting Halo 3 in 2 days now.

I have the same problem as you...but there is a way to figure out whats wrong...most of the time the 3 lights is a hardware problem...overheating.... and the solder connections are melting from constant heating and cooling... anyways i dont have the link on hand but turn ur 360 on and wait for the lights.. then push and hold the sync button and press the eject cd button.. it will blink your first of 4 numbers to make a code that will give u a idea of whats wrong.. 4 lights blinking means 0, 3 means 3 and so on untill 1...then just try and google to find a list of the error codes.. also mircosoft just released that there extending there warrenty to 3 years from the date you got ur 360 hope this helps

i got the three red rings too but sometimes when i start up my 360 they are gone and i can play like i normaly do, i wonder if something is loose on my 360
