nintendo has dominated the handheld co. with the gameboy crushing all of its "competitors", and now the nintendo ds is keeping nintendo ahead by beating out the psp in sales in the US and Japan and everywhere where video games are sold. the reason they are doing so well is because they make great games. the focus on gameplay instead of pretty graphics like the psp. Psp just doesn't have that many fun games and neither did the other competitors. Games such as super mario bros., metroid, zelda, and yes even the pokemon games are what make nintendo so good at handhelds. now the ds has great games such as mario kart, meteos, new super mario bros., and more. all i can say is i think you would be fool to pick any other handheld that is not made by nintendo because they will always make the best handheld.
Yeah, so far I think Nintendo is best at handhelds. I've only played Gameboy Adv and I didn't think it was good butt DS is great.

I think I know why I don't really like the GBA. The screen was too dark for me plus I didn't really like the games at that time and I lost most of the little cartages in a month lol.
gba has some of the best rpgs in my opinion, i have always liked the more classic style rpgs ang they fit perfectly on the gameboy. not to mention metroid and mario games. i love my psp, but as everyone knows the games suck for the most part. sony spends more time making firmware updates than they do good games. id be happy with GOOD ports from ps1 instead of ports from already mediocre or poor games. i still plan on getting a ds litesoon, probably wait till october and let the gf buy it for my bday, and hopefully there will be a decent rpg for it.

No way. I know so many more people that have a PSP than a DS. The PSP is way better.
I never really thought of Nintendo being the best handheld. I just never thought of the best handheld period. But what captured me and brought me in was the amazing adventurous and fun games the I play on my N64. All of the mario games are classic. Who doesn't love them?!
