I think the Ps3 & 360's CPU is way more powerful than some AMD Athlon 64.
And the GPU, I think the Ps3 & 360 is more powerful.
I think what makes it so expencive is the 80GB HDD and it has HDTV Support with an OS and a radio...

It has built in water cooling and a fingerprint scanner built in. A crappy Radeon X1600 Pro videocard and a really crappy AMD64 3200+ cpu. Sounds like a cheap computer to me. They totally copied Sonys controller design and from the looks of this thing, it will only play PC games. Not a good system at all.

Wow...ummm...no. Even if they do have the stupidity to release this thing the company will fall faster than a 500LB fat woman jumping off a building. A home console that will play the latest PC games for 3-4 years like your average console is a great idea but let's face it, not realistic. You'd have to put some serious juice in that sucker and charge like 3k to break even on the parts. Not to mention it's a console for a dying medium (pc games).

Whoa whoa whoa. PC games arent even close to dying. World of Warcraft, Crysis, FEAR, Call of Duty, Medal of Honor. PC games are only getting better. And when Vista comes out with DX10 the PC will have a huge advantage over PS3 and 360. PC is only getting stronger.

I just tried customizing an Alienware on their website and it turned out to be $25,000+ (becauase I chose those high-grade parts).
So that PhaseOne thing is like a PC but just with some junk inside there and you use a controller to controll games? If that is the case, the PC is way way better.

What freezing problems? I have Windows XP Home and Windows XP Pro 64bit and I never freeze up. Windows Vista will be the greatest OS ever built. You will be able to update without having to restart your PC. Vista is definately the future and you will almost have to get it if you ever wish to play future PC games. And wtf did you choose to have a $25,000 PC??? I built my own PC with:

Freezing problems to me are when I use IE6 it keeps on freezing so I installed Mozilla Firefox and it worked fine.
Ya IE has nothing to do with your OS. That is an Explorer problem. The new IE that comes with Vista will be sweet though.
Yeah, I tried the Beta a few weeks ago and it looked sweet, only problem with it is that not all sites are compatable with the Beta yet.

Most likely. Same as XP. XP Home, XP Pro, XP Pro 64bit, XP Media Center.
