Have you ever seen red lights on your 360, where the green ring is? If your xbox 360 console flashes any amount of red lights that means there is a problem. Wether it is just a plug not pluged in or hardware failure here is what the diffrent lights mean.

- Four lights, check A/V cable

-Two left quadrants flash, Xbox 360 is overheated and will not play games untill cooled down.

- any other pattern, Internal problems (hardware failure) If you have that, contact microsoft at 1800-4-my-xbox

My console has had 3 lights once, and had to call and get my console fixed. I sent it over 2 weeks ago, so I should get my 360 back pretty soon.

It would be nice if a mod would make this a sticky, so that whenever red lights come on for people, they know where to look Cool
Lol, I think everybody knows this by now but, it's a good guide. I hope I don't experience general hardware failure or any other problems.
Hmm... I remember seeing these red lights on my xbox 360. I forget what the reason was, but yeah.
I just saw on a website one guy replaced his Xbox 360 ring of light with red lights so people think his thing is all screwed up. But that's bad too, he can't tell if his thing is screwed.
Good info... I thought that four red lights meant your screwed?
No lol. It just means your AV Cable is not plugged it tight.
Oh... the what is the "ring of death" or whatever?
The "Ring of Death" is when Red Lights Flash.

or some people refer it to when you move your Xbox 360 from vertical to horizontal/vise-versa, it leaves a ring on your disc. So the ring on the disc is "the ring of death"

Lol.
Ahhh... flashing lights is what I was thinking of, thanks!
I think my Xbox 360 is malfunctioning. Every few weeks it deletes all the stuff from the hard drive.

lol the first time i put my intercooler on my system I started it up and had 4 red lights. I was like SOB! Didnt realize the intercooler had a switch. Seriously why would you ever turn it off?

You never turn your intercooler off lol? I think running it on is bad because it creates a vortex around the stock fans and makes it move without a motor.
With it on the amount of air being pulled is doubled. No reason to turn it off.
