You find crystles in caves or bad buys when they're dead. Go to one of those mechanic tables and mod it.

its an RPG.... you tell your people what to do and they do it.... so you tell them to kill so and so and tell them how to do it, and they will.... yes you can customize your lightsaber, you can use as little as 1 crystal and as many as 3...

You can use your crystals in order to change the color and stuff of your life saber. It's pretty simple.
