Last movie I saw was X-Men 3 and I thought it was a great movie
The Da Vinci Code... awesome movie. I don't know much about religion but this was a great movie... it explained everything thoroughly, it was a very detailed movie and left no loop holes. Definitely recommend this movie but get your popcorn and drink before hand cuz leaving for two minutes will confuse you...
i rented x-man 1 and 2 becuase i want to see X3. I am a catholic so i do not want to see the da vinci code
i saw x3 which was soooo good, although i heard there was an important stuff after the credits that i missed.
i also saw the Da Vinci Code and thought it sucked. The story was good but it didn't make for a good movie, it was just to long and boring! I can see how it made for a good book, but it did not translate well onto the big skreen.

Well in The Da Vince Code they basically pray to Mary (all though different Mary lol) so you atleast got that. lol

Basically Mary Madangle married Jesus and gave birth to his son. And she is the "holy grail" and they basically pray to her. Tom Hanks kneels at her tomb at the end. It's pretty stupid really.

Any movie that creates controversy on sensitive subjects is a great movie.... I just wish I knew more about religious history to distinguish the diff b/t fact and fiction in the movie...
Well everything they said is "possible" I suppose. They didn't really go against any historical fact because there isn't alot of material about those time periods. All though it is possible, it's unlikely. It mostly comes down to what you believe and what you want to believe. So many people don't believe in Jesus but they need an explantion of the man called Jesus who obviously exsisted so they are quick to go with the da vinci code's theory.

i wouldnt say that! it is fiction but it is not all lies.
The news (not always reliable...) said that 3% of people who saw this movie changed religions (probably people who didn't really have a religion to begin with)... also, half this thread is about the Da Vinci Code... it can't suck that bad!
