who thinks there will be a ps3 shortage like there was with the 360? i think so, especially considering its releasing right before christmas. post your thoughts.
What console release in human history didn't have shortages? The only console I ever bought around launch was the original Xbox and that was because of Halo. I had to wait several days once I got the cash and call around to every gaming store every day. Ended up getting one at EBGames. And that was atleast a month after it launched Anyway my point is, hell yes there will be shortages and there will be people paying loads of money for one on eBay.

I doubt that they will have a shortage. I read somewhere that sony said they are going to make alot of them at once so we dont have to wait like microsoft. I will try to find the site where I got the info.
There will be a shortage of PS3 consoles. Sony isnt about to ship out a huge amount of consoles with the price being so high. Sony will release a set amount and if they sell as expected then a larger amount will be released.
They said that with the delay of the system there should be nothing wrong with it.
What mistake? The shortage caused hype and caused high high resells on eBay therefore causing more hype. I have no doubt the shortage was a marketing ploy not a mistake. I think Sony will do the same. If not for the marketing boost just simply becuase everybody is loosing money on their consoles, esp Sony. They arn't about to ship a massive ammount of their consoles on a chance that the console will sell well. They have several things going against them (late to the market, high price point, etc) and to bet like that on a product that they are loosing money on would just be stupid.
Well most people will probaly pre-order theres. I wish I pre-ordered my 360.
IGN said that Sony feels there will be a shortage... only the second console ever to do a world wide launch (360 was the first to test those waters...)
