i think tat the nintendo wii will be bigger competition to the xbox 360 than the PS3. the wii's controller so far seems lke it will definently work and be innovative. they also have strong games coming out such as super smash bros. brawls, metroid prime 3, zelda, red steel, and super mario galaxy. also the price will be low. on the other hand the PS3 is going to be $600, and i do not count that $500 piece of crap. the games didn't seem to be that great.
I think it will be a threat because of its controller. I seen E3 and that made me want to buy it now.
Erm im not sure, I think the majority will head for the Playstation 3 and i will join them!
PS3's price is killin' me... rather get 10 360 games to hold me over til a ps3 price drop, even if it is gonna be 3 or 4 years...

exactly my point. the wii is something entirely different. the ps3 is just a graphical update of the ps2
I think PS3 would have been better if it was a new controller. They should have stuck witht he silver one that they was showing all of the sites.
plus the small thing they did different with the controller, they copied from nintendo. they put in a motion senser device
Every real gamer knows that new controllers are scary. Sony was very smart with the PS2 and kept the same design. Gamers buy what they are comfortable with. Personally I think the controller wont help Nintendo out much at all. The Wii will be the last next gen console I pick up and I am sure many others feel the same way. New isnt always better. And from the Wii specs all I see is an newly designed Xbox.

I kind of agree with you. Every major company knows that it is a MAJOR decision to change the controller. I guess they will probaly wait until PS4 to come out with a new design. I can't tell the future so we will have to wait.

from what i hear is the motion detecting technology in the ps3 is cheap, which is why they had to cut the rumble feature out. This controller is the most unoriginal thing i have ever seen in my life. It has a guide button in the middle just like the 360. It clearly copied nintendo's idea of motion sensor, but Microsoft has already released a PC controller that has motion sensing just like the ps3 controller called the sidewinder freestyle. so it is a ps2, 360, wii, and sidewinder hybrid. Unoriginal crap if you ask me!
