Alrighty, im about to buy a x360 coming pretty soon here and I do not have a HDTV but ive read on about 10+ forums about how it looks really good on LCD moniters if you just buy the xbox HD to VGA cord if your moniter can display in high-def.

I have a xerox XG Series, lcd. 17"
-max res = 1280x1024
-contrast ratio = 500:1

I dont know much about this stuff so im not sure if itll be able to show in high def. If anyone knows or could check out my moniter and tell me if I can thatd be great.

If my current moniter cant support HD, im going to get a dell lcd, bigger than 17". Widescreen or no widescreen?

Read your user manual i'm sure that will tell you if your TV is HD or not!, How old is your TV??
yeh what TV is it?

link?
Its not a TV, its a computer moniter. And I dont have the box or manual because my mom has a habit of throwing everything away. I like keeping boxes.

My Moniters a Xerox XG71D Model
its fine i think the vga addaptor outputs in 1280x1024, but i would be worried about the refresh rate. if it is too high the image will look crapy.

What would be a reasonable refresh rate to run 360 on?

for a pc not for a 360!

I know. If your buying a monitor for your 360 I would rec 20" or better. And the resolution must be 1280 by 1024 or better.
yeh ive heard the Dell, Gateway and Acer Monitors are quite good with the 360!
Yup. I was going to buy some dell monitor at a store the other day. They had a 360 hooked up to it. IT looked pretty good.
