Hello, I was wondering if it is at all possible to play wmv videos on the xbox 360.... I have videos on my comp, I was wondering if I could somehow "ftp" to my box and put the video on the hd. Not sure if the box even has a ip address or if I should make it static somehow... Would I use a straight or cross cable? I would be sending it from my comp to my router to the box. Anyways, if so, would it even play it in that format or would I have to convert it to some other type?
If you comp. is a Media Center PC it will stream the videos no problem, you can also record and watch tv shows.
Yeh the only way is if you have an MCE PC
It isn't a media center..... but is it at all possible to transfer files from my comps hard drive to my xbox's hard drive?

are you serious man , that is so gay , xbox 360 is really pissing me off with this one ...cant load up videos on to the hard drive...can stick a external hard drive to it but it wont play videos , you have to buy a fricken whole new start up program with that gay media center and buy a wireless adapter for it when it already has wireless in it im telling you iim very dissapointed and unsatisfied with that , i wish i could find bill gates and slap his face that greedy miser...but the hell with it ...i will just do with out it im not about to reformat my fricken laptop and buy that xp media center f@*& that!!!! ....i cant wait till the ps3 comes out if its anywhere near as cool as the psp the world will be right again < yup i own a 360 and it suckkkkkkkkkkkkkkssss...thats all i have to say about that

Yup. I wish you could save videos off your psp to your 360. I hope that comes in the future.
yeh hopefully in the future but for now all you can do is stream from MCE!
Krome... chill! Go get a PS3, you'll prob be just as disappointed. You own a psp, right? What was the PSP when you first got it? It was a handheld game and movie player. It had the capability for wireless internet but they didn't put it out right away. It has the capability to have an organizer, calendar, notepad, etc but they aren't releasing that until later this year. You gotta realize that that's what companies do now to prolong hype. I know Microsoft has plans up there sleeve for when the PS3 is released. Also, the PS3 is more powerful but developers at E3 said that the way the PS3 was developed makes it very difficult for developers to use that power. The 360 is much easier and Microsoft has many more developers on their side. I'm glad I have a 360 b/c every king (Sony) get dethroned eventually...
