i want to get xbox live and i have a free 2 month trial but i want to get 12 months. the onlly problemnis that my dad dosent want to give out his credit card info. beacuse he's afraid that as soon as the subscription card runs out it will charge him on the credit card. so if i buy a subcription card for 1 year will we have to give out any info?
you could just goto a gaming shop and buy a card with the scrath panel on it!
I have'nt ever purcase a gold supscritption before but i was told you don't need any creit card info any more
you dont need to give your info if you have a 360 i am pretty sure, and if you do you can change the settings to make it not automaticaly renew
There are options if you use a credit card online to stop it automatically renewing each time, my credit card expires each year anyway so thats not an issue for me.
But the best option for you is to make use of the Microsoft Points system which was designed specifically with people like yourself in mind, who don't have easy access to a creit card. Take your wad of cash down to your local gamer shop and either pick up one of the yearly subscription scratch cards, or one of the points cards which can be used for the subscriptions as well. Although I cannot find how many point you need for that exactly at the moment so get one of the 12months cards.

Yes, make sure you only use the 2month code first as you cannot use a trial code once you've paid for the full subscription with 'proper' money.
When I got my subscription card it was 10 euro cheaper to buy it with a free copy of Fifa than just getting the card on its own. So I got that, and then on opeinging it up found that the copy of Fifa that they had stuffed in the box had another 2month trial card in there as well.
