What do you mean, you got a router but you don't have a wireless adapter for your 360? Rolling Eyes
Nah... i'm assuming he already has wireless but bought an adapter to plug into the xbox instead of the one made for the xbox... follow me!?
It is now known that ONLY the Xbox branded adapter will work. Some poor sap shelled out $75 for a Linksys wireless G usb adapter, and found that the incredibly overpriced $100 adapter would work. ONLY.
Good info...

Yup. I bought the liksys then took it back and bought the xbox adapter.

It seems that they have fiddled the official xbox wireless adapter so that it is the only one that will work. It has to contain the same hardware as another model out there somewhere but no one has figured that bit out yet so fo te moment you are stuck with only using the xbox model.
thinks for the info
In my June Xbox Magazine a writer wrote in and asked if his linksys adapter will work for 360. They said that if it has a "compatible w/ 360" logo on it then it will work. They also said that even if it doesn't have that logo it will probably still work w/ the 360... according to them most wireless adaptors will work. I haven't tried any though!
