could be 1 of two things, either A your headset is busted or B it's not plugged in properly, I've had the same problem, try unplugging it from the controller and plugging it back in with a little pressure. After a few tries if it doesn't work, and doesn't work with any other game etc. then I suggest a new headset, if it's just PGR3 it could be your volume settings. Good luck.

Ok, I tested the mic by sending a message to someone that I wanted them to accept me as a friend. I played it back to myself and I heard my recording clearly. This means that its not my mic or my controller.
As for the not being able to play a regular Live game, it turns out that thats blocked by default in the "Family Settings." I changed it and now I can play.
However, I still can't hear anyone while I play online. I have it set to transmitt auido through my speakers and my headset. I still can't hear anyone.
I set the Opponent Balance from 0 up to 5 but nothing happened except that my music grew less loud.

First, if you arnt allowed you might want to check your parental guidlines. Sometimes it wont let you talk. Also i have the same problem on COD2 sometimes.

Thanks man. That was the problem. The parental settings were set to make me an XBOX Live Antisocial (That means that I couldn't talk to anyone).

I think the XBOX Team knows that it doesn't matter if a teen or preteen hears a few cusses on XBOX Live. I believe the default parental limitations are legal safeguards.
