has ne1 heard what sony might put as the price for a PS3. i heard that they might do what ms did with the 360, and make 2 different kinds. one less expensive with less stuff, and another one more expensive but with more stuff

there are lots of rumors going around about this and until Sony makes an official announcement (probably at e3) no one will know. BUT since you asked, the latest I heard is that Sony may come in close to the Xbox360....somewhere between 400-500 USD (500-600 Cdn)..........could cost more, but I can not see it coming out for less than that......Sony like MS is willng to accept losses on initial sales, and as it stands last I heard it costs $450 Us to make the PS3....so the $400 USD figure is possible.

And the last I heard it will cost sony close to $900 at launch per system. That's a little harder to deal with than the original $50 assumption, I can't reasonably see them putting it out for less than $500-550 in that case. Of course this is all conjecture until sony themselves announce a price.

its going to be really risky for Sony to sell it for that high and assume that they will make back all the money in games or other things
