I'll be able to afford an xbox 360 in a couple of week, but they are a bit thin on the ground over here in england. I haven't seen a premium system on shelves, but they have got core systems. Heres my dilemma, i'll probably have to wait weeks for a premium system, if not months. Should i buy a core system and the harddrive? i'm not too bothered about the cordless joypads as i can buy them, but the crome drive is very nice, what should i do?

The core system is £210 the premium is £280, if i buy the core plus the hard drive £70, it comes to the same price.
Am i missing any other benefits of the premium edition? (i'm not to bothered about the wireless joypad)
You also wont get the headset (£15), Ethernet cable and HD AV cable. Those things arent very important though like the HDD because you may already have some of those things. If you cant wait get the core with a HDD, the only thing you will be missing is the chrome finish DVD tray.

I've got an ethernet cable and i can buy a headset, does the oringinal xbox head set work?

I am not sure if the original Xbox headset works since I never had the original xbox. PM Xbox360josh, I'm pretty sure he will know. Chrome DVD tray is nice but it isnt essential, What you rather do, Get a core and start playing now or wait a while and get a chrome one?
I don't think i can wait any longer, i'll get the core system in a couple of weeks i think, unless i'm lucky enough to find a premium on.
